How do I manage to work 13+ hours a day?
It’s all about habits, what you hustle to build, work hard to maintain, and be crazy enough to believe it will be rewarding. Let me guide you through my habits and all the teeny-tiny details that matter to me.
I wake up with a gentle alarm sound — calm piano with birds singing in the background. You want to give your body a slow start with steady breathing — nobody likes to wake up in shock.
Never sleep with your phone in the reach of your hand. Put it in a closet, so once you wake up you need to stand up or do a push-up to reach it. This is how you get yourself out of bed.
I have a crazy belief that if brush my teeth and eat my breakfast with the left hand (I’m a righty), not only I’ll activate and develop my brain cells I usually tend not to but also I would rest the part of the brain that controls the dominant hand.
I try not to speak or communicate with anyone until I take the first break from work which is usually until lunchtime. That’s how I keep my focus sharp in the morning and crunch the hardest tasks on my TODO list first.
When I work, the phone is never in my field of view and I like to have my headphones on and curtains closed, to avoid any distractions as much as possible.
