Life-inspiring talk with an electrifying Motivational Speaker
A week ago I hesitated but mom persuaded me to join her at a lunch with her colleague. I went without expecting much, except for good Argentinian steak as Sandi walked in. About half the size of me, with sunglasses and amazing energy she radiates miles around she joins us at the table. We had a great dinner, had a lot of laughs and she was always very true to us, very direct and no-bullshit.
She speaks 4 languages, she’s half Korean, half American — grew up in Turkey with her foster parents, and was always very deliberate, good in chess, book rat, she went to study in the States, worked in an illegal casino to pay for her studies, and never indeed hide that she is different.
As spontaneous as she is, a day before she was in Albania, the other day in Croatia, and the third day in Italy, I still managed to invite her for another 1on1 lunch the other day — well, actually a burger, cuz that’s what she likes. We agreed to meet in Kamnik (Slovenia) and I sent her the address of that burger place.
I went and waited — There goes 10, 20, 30, 40 minutes and finally she arrives and I already knew what she was up to. She likes to get lost, she knows the name of the place she wants to go and…
